News from the atelier

After a long winter and frosty nights, the first plants have finally been able to move into my new studio garden.

I first became aware of the ceramic artist Carolin Ludwigs and her studio CL·AY at the contemporary crafts fair at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg. Her clay objects immediately captivated me.

For the past few months, I've been planning a special garden project: transforming our own small city garden into a studio garden. Essentially, a show garden where I can demonstrate my garden design style and the potential of small gardens, and where I can experiment with plants, learn, and teach.

I hope that 2026 will be a really good year for you. With lots of happy experiences and plenty of optimism! This also includes the confidence that people with compassion, decency and tolerance are in the vast majority,
