The objects created by Hamburg-based ceramic artist Carolin Ludwigs are made from wild, self-collected, and processed clays, as well as recycled clay – supplemented by natural finds such as seeds, stones, sand, and other materials that she collects in the places where the clay originates. She grinds these materials finely and incorporates them into the surface.
The two vases, Asia I and Asia II, are made from recycled mixed clay. Minimalist and harmonious in form, with their rough, textured surface and matte dark tones, they are art objects that stand on their own and bring a sense of calm to a room. They can also be used as vases, as they are glazed on the inside and waterproof.
Price is per vase.
